Crossing Over

I have no time
I apologize
I have some beauty
to look at
I have some of this
life
to enjoy
and find a speck
of nitch in
I have a destiny
and a path
to begin following
that leads to
one point
within my soul
I have kindness to learn
humbleness
to be reacquired
cool air to fill my nostrils
with on a fall morning
I have a bridge to cross
and I bid adieu
my friend
and wish you
everything good
and wish me
the great letting go
of all of you
who haunt my past
my present
but God forbid
my future
